Department Head

JOB TITLE Light Household Department Head | MAF Retail | Hypermarket Kuwait Role Summary The Light Household Department Head is responsible to ensure the quality, range and freshness of offered goods to attract and satisfy the customers. The role holder is also responsible for the coordination and communication between Merchandisers and Sales Teams and other relevant service providers within the assigned area. ROLE PROFILE • Develop and monitor department strategies to maintain a competitive advantage within the store. • Oversee supplier negotiations and internal promotions to strengthen the store's value image. • Manage pricing policies and ensure the profitability of departmental assets. • Oversee product assortment, stock levels, ordering schedules, and warehouse organization. • Implement initiatives to minimize waste, shrinkage, and out-of-stock situations. • Ensure compliance with security, hygiene, safety, and customer service standards. • Supervise staff scheduling and support effective workforce planning. • Coach and develop team members, support performance management, and identify training needs. Requirements • Bachelor's Degree. • Minimum 3+ years of experience in the retail industry. • Minimum 2+ years of experience in an operations supervisory role. • Strong communication and presentation skills. • Customer service orientation with the ability to drive customer satisfaction. • Good time management skills and general product knowledge.
