Clients post legal tasks with a budget, licensed lawyers bid in a closed auction, and communication, negotiation, signing, payment, and milestone execution take place within the platform. Alongside Legaline Platform, we are developing Meta Legal Space — a dedicated legal education, simulation, and professional-development ecosystem designed to connect legal education, practical legal training, technology, and the next generation of legal professionals. THE ROLE We're hiring an In-House Counsel in Saudi Arabia to become a key part of Legaline's expansion into the Saudi market. This is not a traditional legal-support position. You will help establish the legal and compliance framework for Legaline's operations in Saudi Arabia from the ground up and work closely with our leadership, product, technology, commercial, and operations teams. You will advise on the legal requirements of launching and scaling a technology-driven legal marketplace in Saudi Arabia, while also supporting the company's broader ecosystem, including Meta Legal Space. Your work will directly influence how Legaline structures its Saudi operations, contracts with lawyers and clients, works with partners, handles data and AI-related matters, onboards employees, and translates regulatory requirements into the platform itself. WHAT YOU WILL DO • Lead day-to-day legal support for Legaline's expansion and operations in Saudi Arabia • Advise on Saudi corporate, commercial, employment, technology, regulatory, and data-protection matters • Help establish the legal and compliance framework for Legaline's Saudi operations • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, partnership agreements, NDAs, employment documentation, platform terms, and lawyer/client agreements • Advise on relationships with Saudi lawyers, clients, institutions, technology partners, and other local stakeholders • Support employee onboarding and employment-related legal matters in Saudi Arabia • Work with product and engineering teams to embed legal and compliance requirements directly into the Legaline platform • Advise on the legal positioning, disclosure, and use of AI-assisted legal drafting, research, and other AI functionality • Support Legaline's AI and technology teams on data processing, intellectual property, cybersecurity, and technology-related legal matters • Support the establishment and operation of Meta Legal Space initiatives in Saudi Arabia, including legal education, professional training, simulations, partnerships, and related activities • Monitor Saudi regulatory developments relevant to LegalTech, AI, professional services, marketplaces, data, payments, and technology • Translate regulatory developments into practical recommendations for management and product teams • Manage relationships with external Saudi counsel when specialized advice is required • Support corporate governance, risk management, intellectual property, and cross-border matters • Work closely with Legaline's Dubai headquarters and other country teams as the company expands WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR • Qualified lawyer • Strong grounding in Saudi Arabian law • Experience in corporate, commercial, employment, technology, regulatory, or data-protection matters • Previous in-house experience or experience advising technology companies, marketplaces, fintechs, professional-services businesses, or startups is preferred • Fluent English and Arabic — required • Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills • Ability to translate complex legal and regulatory issues into practical commercial advice • Comfortable working directly with founders, senior management, product teams, engineers, and commercial teams • Genuine interest in LegalTech, AI, and the future of legal services • Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to build processes rather than simply operate existing ones • Organized, pragmatic, commercially minded, and comfortable working independently • Based in Saudi Arabia or willing to relocate to Riyadh NICE TO HAVE • Experience with Saudi technology, fintech, marketplace, or digital-economy regulation • Experience with data protection or AI governance • Experience advising two-sided marketplaces or SaaS platforms • GCC cross-border experience • Experience working with licensed professionals or regulated businesses • Experience in legal education, legal training, legal technology, or professional-development initiatives WHAT WE OFFER • A key legal role in Legaline's Saudi Arabia expansion • Direct involvement in building a new market from the ground up • The opportunity to shape the legal architecture of an AI-native LegalTech platform • Exposure to both Legaline Platform and Meta Legal Space • Direct collaboration with founders, leadership, product, engineering, and commercial teams • Regional and international exposure as Legaline expands • Competitive compensation package Show more Show less
