NNC
NNC is looking for a Graphic Designer – Social & Digital who combines strong visual craft, social media awareness and the ability to turn ideas into distinctive, high-quality design. You will work across some of NNC's social media accounts and campaigns, collaborating closely with Art Directors, copywriters, social teams, strategists, production and account management. This is not a role for someone who simply follows templates. We are looking for a designer who understands why a visual works, can develop ideas rather than only execute them, and cares deeply about typography, composition, imagery, colour and detail. You should be equally comfortable designing in Arabic and English and understand that Arabic design is not simply an English layout flipped from left to right. You will also be expected to use AI and emerging creative technology as part of your workflow to explore ideas, generate visual possibilities and work more efficiently without allowing tools to replace creative judgment or design craft. What You'll Do Social & Digital Design • Create high-quality visual content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat, LinkedIn, X, Meta and emerging platforms. • Design static posts, carousels, stories, digital ads, campaign assets and short-form content. • Understand how visual design changes across platforms and formats. • Translate campaign ideas into strong visual systems that work across multiple pieces of content. • Design for attention, communication and storytelling rather than simply filling a format. • Adapt brand identities into flexible social media systems while maintaining consistency. • Stay current with visual culture, social trends and evolving platform behaviours. Creative Thinking • Work with Art Directors, copywriters and social teams to develop visual ideas from briefs. • Contribute actively to brainstorms and creative development. • Explore multiple visual directions before settling on an execution. • Understand the idea behind the work rather than treating design as decoration. • Create moodboards, visual references, mock-ups and presentation-ready concepts. • Bring references, cultural observations and creative inspiration into the team. Arabic & Bilingual Design • Design confidently in both Arabic and English. • Demonstrate strong understanding of Arabic typography, hierarchy, composition and spacing. • Ensure bilingual work feels intentionally designed in both languages. • Recognise when Arabic layouts feel translated or visually secondary. • Understand the cultural context of UAE, GCC and wider Arab audiences. • Select Arabic typefaces appropriately and maintain readability across formats. • Collaborate with Arabic copywriters to ensure copy and visual hierarchy work together. Brand & Campaign Design • Work within established brand identities while finding ways to keep the work fresh. • Develop campaign key visuals and adapt them across social, digital and selected offline formats. • Maintain consistency across multiple deliverables and client accounts. • Understand brand guidelines and know when creative flexibility is possible. • Support presentations, pitches, digital campaigns and integrated creative work when required. Motion & Video • Think beyond static design and understand how an idea can move. • Create basic motion graphics, animated social assets or simple short-form video edits. • Prepare designs and assets for motion designers and video editors. • Understand pacing, transitions, kinetic typography and visual storytelling in motion. • Collaborate with production teams on shoots and video content where required. Advanced motion capability is an advantage, but strong visual thinking remains the priority. AI & Emerging Creative Technology • Use generative AI and emerging creative tools as part of your professional design workflow. • Use tools such as Adobe Firefly, Midjourney, ChatGPT, Runway, Kling, Flux or comparable platforms for visual exploration, reference development, ideation and production. • Develop effective prompts and iterate toward a specific visual direction. • Use AI for concept exploration, moodboards, image generation, image manipulation, compositing and rapid prototyping. • Recognise poor AI output and know when traditional design or production is the better solution. • Refine AI-generated material rather than treating raw generations as finished design. • Combine AI output with Photoshop, Illustrator, photography, 3D, motion and other production techniques where appropriate. • Understand basic considerations around copyright, likeness, provenance and client confidentiality. • Continuously experiment with new tools that can improve creative quality and workflow efficiency. AI capability does not replace strong design fundamentals, taste or judgment. Craft & Production • Maintain a high level of attention to typography, alignment, spacing, composition, colour and image quality. • Prepare accurate final artwork and production files. • Work confidently with different ratios, resolutions and technical platform requirements. • Organise source files properly and maintain clean working files. • Perform quality checks before delivering work for internal or client review. • Maintain quality even when working under tight timelines. Collaboration & Workflow • Take direction from Art Directors and senior creative team members and translate feedback into better work. • Collaborate closely with copywriters, account teams, social teams and production. • Manage multiple tasks and accounts without losing attention to detail. • Meet agreed deadlines and flag potential delays early. • Receive feedback professionally and understand the reasoning behind revisions. • Take ownership of assigned work from brief through final delivery. What We're Looking For • 3+ years of professional graphic design experience, preferably within a creative, advertising, digital or social agency. • Native-level Arabic with excellent reading and writing capability. • Professional proficiency in English. • Strong portfolio demonstrating social media and digital design, not only branding or print. • Strong understanding of Arabic and English typography. • Excellent understanding of composition, colour, hierarchy, layout and visual storytelling. • Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. • Working knowledge of After Effects, Premiere Pro, Figma or comparable creative tools. • Experience creating content for different social platforms and formats. • Ability to work across multiple brands while maintaining distinct visual identities. • Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver polished final work. • Ability to work quickly without sacrificing design quality. • Comfortable working in a fast-paced agency
