Senior Technician – BMS Projects (Execution)

The company specializes in the supply, installation, and servicing of air conditioning systems, with expertise extending to heating, ventilation, ducting, electrical works, building management systems, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and other related services. Key Responsibilities • Execute and supervise BMS installation works, including DDC/PLC panels, controllers, sensors, actuators, control valves, meters, thermostats, and other field devices. • Carry out BMS cabling, panel wiring, termination, point identification, and field device connections in accordance with approved drawings and control schematics. • Install and interface BMS controls with HVAC equipment, including AHUs, FCUs, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, and ventilation systems. • Perform point-to-point, I/O, loop, continuity, and functional testing of BMS systems. • Support BMS pre-commissioning and commissioning, including controller configuration, communication testing, system integration, and functional testing. • Troubleshoot and rectify faults involving BMS controllers, panels, field devices, wiring, communication networks, and control sequences. • Identify and resolve BMS installation and commissioning issues, including snagging and rectification works. • Monitor BMS system operation and assist with system optimization, parameter adjustments, and energy-monitoring activities. • Provide technical guidance to BMS Technicians and junior personnel and monitor the quality of installation and testing activities. • Coordinate BMS activities with project teams, subcontractors, clients, and consultants, including inspections, demonstrations, and handover activities. • Maintain records of installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and rectification works and report technical issues and progress to the BMS Project Engineer. • Requirements • Diploma, vocational qualification, or technical certification in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, or a related field. • Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in BMS, HVAC controls, or building automation projects. • Proven experience in BMS installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and rectification. • Good knowledge of HVAC systems, DDC/controllers, control devices, field instruments, and BMS communication protocols, particularly BACnet and Modbus. • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, control schematics, wiring diagrams, and BMS layouts. • Good technical, communication, and teamwork skills. • Valid Bahrain driving license is preferred.
