Junior Estimation Engineer (Mechanical/ Water treatment)

Responsibilities: • Review and understand mechanical equipment drawings and layouts used in water treatment systems (e.g., pump stations, flanges, filtration units, piping & valve arrangements). • Perform material and quantity take-offs based on approved drawings and technical specifications using AutoCAD/PDF documents. • Prepare cost estimations, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), and support proposal preparation. • Coordinate with engineering and procurement teams to verify material requirements. • Assist in preparing technical and commercial estimation documents. • Update and maintain cost databases, supplier quotations, and estimation templates. • Ensure all estimation work is completed accurately, efficiently, and within deadlines. • Remain accessible and available during holidays or post work for any emergency work requirement as instructed by the team lead. Good to have: • Experience in BOQ preparation with strong ability to interpret mechanical drawings used in water treatment industry • Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment used in the water treatment industry such as flanges, pumps etc. • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering • Must have proficiency in Microsoft Excel with good communication and coordination skills • Good to have AutoCAD skills Show more Show less
