Client & Vendor Coordination • Site Execution & Supervision • Supervise day-to-day electrical construction activities. • Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements. • Coordinate installation of substation equipment such as: • Power Transformers • GIS/AIS Equipment • Circuit Breakers • Disconnectors & Earthing Switches • CTs, VTs/CVTs • Surge Arresters • Control & Protection Panels • STATCOM Equipment (if applicable) • Monitor equipment erection and alignment activities. • Supervise cable laying, termination, and gland installation. • Ensure proper installation of grounding and lightning protection systems. • Verify equipment installation according to manufacturer recommendations. • Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with approved Method Statements and ITPs. • Raise inspections with QA/QC and clients. • Verify punch points and ensure timely closure. • Maintain installation quality records and checklists. • Coordinate pre-commissioning and commissioning activities. • Support testing of: • Transformers • GIS/AIS Equipment • Protection Relays • Control Systems • SCADA Systems • Auxiliary Systems • Ensure testing prerequisites are completed before energization. • Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and site safety procedures. • Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings. • Monitor permit-to-work (PTW) requirements. • Ensure safe execution of high-voltage electrical activities. • Verify materials received at site against approved specifications. • Monitor material consumption and availability. • Report shortages and damaged materials. • Coordinate with warehouse and procurement teams. • Coordinate with: • Construction Manager • Planning Engineer • QA/QC Engineers • Commissioning Engineers • Civil and Mechanical Teams • Client Representatives • Resolve site issues and interface conflicts. • Maintain daily site activity reports. • Prepare progress updates and installation status reports. • Track punch lists and non-conformance reports (NCRs). • Support preparation of as-built documentation. • Monitor actual progress against project schedule. • Identify delays and inform project management. • Support recovery and acceleration plans. • Ensure timely completion of assigned activities. • Attend site meetings with clients and consultants. • Coordinate vendor supervision during equipment installation and testing. • Ensure manufacturer recommendations are followed.
