Senior Project Manager – Project Management Company: Bilfinger Deutsche Babcock Emirates LLC Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE – Head Office, Mussafah & Project Sites Department: Project Management Reporting To: Operations Director Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and manage multiple projects and/or Project Managers from planning through successful completion. The role will be responsible for project execution, commercial and cost control, resource management, risk management, client relationships, stakeholder coordination, and overall project performance, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. Key Responsibilities • Lead the overall planning, coordination, execution, control and completion of multiple projects. • Develop comprehensive project plans, scopes, deliverables, schedules and execution strategies aligned with business objectives. • Manage project budgets, cash flow and Estimate to Complete (ETC) forecasts. • Plan manpower and resource requirements and coordinate recruitment or resource allocation where required. • Develop and monitor project schedules, milestones, deliverables and critical paths to ensure timely completion. • Identify project risks, dependencies and potential delays and implement appropriate mitigation and recovery actions. • Lead project close-out activities and conduct lessons-learned reviews to capture best practices. • Prepare and present project progress reports, proposals, presentations and management documentation. • Establish project success criteria and communicate expectations clearly to project teams. • Identify, analyse and resolve project issues, conflicts and execution challenges in coordination with the project team and management. • Ensure compliance with project reviews, evaluations, quality assurance requirements and company procedures. • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and key stakeholders. • Lead, motivate, coach and mentor Project Managers and project teams, promoting accountability and high performance. • Prepare and manage time-extension and cost-overrun claims in coordination with the Commercial Department. • Support claim negotiations and implement agreed technical and commercial claim strategies. • Ensure effective resolution and documentation of client, subcontractor and vendor issues. • Act as the focal point for client and key stakeholder relationships. • Ensure compliance with company HSE, Quality, Compliance, IT and HR policies, UAE laws and applicable Abu Dhabi EHS requirements. Required Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent. • Project Management certifications are preferred. • Minimum 10 years of direct Project Management experience, covering project development and execution. • Proven experience in: • People Management • Strategic Planning • Risk Management • Change Management • Multiple Project / Program Management • Strong experience in Maintenance & Modification projects – essential. • Construction project experience is an advantage. • ADNOC experience is required/preferred. Technical Skills • Strong knowledge of project management processes, including: • Planning & Scheduling • Cost Control • Budget Management • Resource Planning • Quality Management • Project Documentation • Proficiency in project management and scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project. • Strong analytical, research, problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. Leadership & Communication Skills • Strong leadership, motivation and team-building capabilities. • Excellent negotiation and conflict-management skills. • Ability to build effective relationships with clients, management, employees and contractors. • Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills. • Ability to manage conflicts and resolve communication issues within project teams. • Ability to mentor and develop Project Managers and team members. • Excellent English communication skills; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
