Walk-in interviews: Heavy Vehicle Driver Job Description • Operate heavy vehicles such as waste collection trucks, skip loaders, hook loaders, vacuum tankers, or other waste management vehicles as assigned. • Collect and transport municipal, commercial, industrial, or other designated waste from assigned locations to approved disposal or treatment facilities. • Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any defects, damage, or maintenance requirements. • Ensure waste is properly loaded, secured, and transported safely without spillage or damage to property. • Operate vehicle-mounted equipment, including hydraulic systems, lifting mechanisms, compactors, and other waste-handling equipment, where applicable. • Follow assigned routes, schedules, collection procedures, and supervisor instructions. • Ensure the vehicle is parked safely and securely at the end of each shift.
