Role Description The Procurement Director is responsible for leading procurement strategy, sourcing, supplier management, purchasing, and contract activities to achieve cost efficiency, quality, and reliable supply. Key Responsibilities • Develop and implement procurement strategies, policies, and procedures. • Oversee sourcing, purchasing, tendering, and supplier selection. • Manage supplier evaluation, performance, relationships, and contracts. • Lead pricing, payment terms, and contract negotiations. • Establish procurement KPIs, cost targets, and performance standards. • Identify cost-saving and value-optimization opportunities. • Oversee purchase orders, quotations, bids, tenders, and approvals. • Coordinate procurement activities with finance, operations, projects, and other departments. • Monitor market prices, suppliers, materials, and industry trends. • Identify supply risks and develop alternative sourcing strategies. • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and regulations. • Monitor procurement budgets, spending, forecasts, and cost performance. • Oversee ERP and e-procurement systems and process improvements. • Prepare procurement reports, analysis, and management recommendations. • Lead and develop the procurement team and drive continuous improvement. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or a related field. • Extensive experience in procurement and strategic sourcing. • CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent professional certification is advantageous. • Strong knowledge of sourcing, purchasing, tendering, and supplier management. • Proven experience in contract negotiation and cost reduction. • Strong commercial, financial, analytical, and negotiation skills. • Experience with SAP, Oracle, or other procurement/ERP systems. • Knowledge of supplier risk, quality, performance, and compliance management. • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities. • Knowledge of UAE/GCC procurement practices is preferred. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement analytics tools. • Professional, ethical, organized, proactive, and results-oriented. • Show more Show less
