Civil / Structural Engineer (Dubai) Job Title: Civil / Structural Engineer – Architectural Design Consultancy Location: Dubai, UAE Employment Type: Full-time The Opportunity HB+Partners is a newly established architectural design consultancy founded by a UK-qualified architect with over 16 years of international experience. We specialise in sustainable, high-end hospitality and residential projects across the UAE and internationally. We are looking for a Civil / Structural Engineer to join as our first technical hire, a foundational role that will help shape the future of the practice. This is not just a job. What You'll Do • Lead structural design and analysis for G+4 residential, commercial and hospitality projects • Prepare and review structural calculations, drawings, and design reports • Coordinate structural designs with architectural and MEP disciplines • Manage Dubai Municipality (DM) submissions and approvals • Ensure compliance with UAE codes and DM regulations • Support project delivery from concept through to construction supervision What We're Looking For • Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressive civil / structural engineering experience, ideally within a Dubai consultancy environment (with attested qualifications and experience certificates in the UAE / MOFA attested. • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognised and accredited university • DM License: Valid Dubai Municipality (DM) G+4 (or higher) Engineer Card / Qualification, strictly mandatory • Software Skills: Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (either ETABS, SAFE, STAAD Pro) • Local Knowledge: Proven experience with DM submissions, authority approvals, and UAE building codes • SOE Registration: Registered with the UAE Society of Engineers (or eligible to register) Essential: • Good communication skills • Adaptable and versatile in a growing practice • Familiarity with BIM / Revit workflows, AutoCAD, visualisation software • 5+ years' experience as Civil / Structural engineer • MOFA attested qualifications and experience certificates • Registered with the UAE Society of Engineers (SOE) • Valid Dubai Municipality (DM) G+4 (or higher) Engineer Card - Mandatory Desirable: • Experience in residential, commercial and or hospitality projects • UAE driving license • Experience with Dubai Municipality BPS (Building Permit System) portal.
