Business Development Manager – General Insurance Company: WhizzHR Location: Dubai, UAE Employment Type: Full-Time | On-site Industry: Insurance Brokerage About the Role WhizzHR is hiring a Business Development Manager – General Insurance to drive new business, develop client relationships, and expand the company’s general insurance portfolio across the UAE. Key Responsibilities • Generate new business through networking, cold calling, referrals, and market research. • Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate and SME clients. • Identify client insurance requirements and recommend suitable solutions. • Handle enquiries, quotations, negotiations, renewals, and follow-ups. • Coordinate with insurers to obtain competitive terms and premiums. • Drive sales across Property, Liability, Engineering, Marine, Motor Fleet, SME, and other general insurance products. • Achieve monthly and annual business development and revenue targets. • Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurate CRM records. • Develop long-term relationships with clients, insurers, and business partners. • Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities within the existing client portfolio. • Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and insurance products. • Collaborate with underwriting and operations teams to ensure smooth policy issuance and servicing. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. • 3–7 years of experience in insurance sales/business development, preferably in general insurance brokerage. • Strong UAE market knowledge and an existing corporate/SME network will be an advantage. • Good understanding of general insurance products and brokerage processes. • Proven track record of achieving sales targets. • Strong negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills. • Self-motivated, target-oriented, and commercially driven.
