Roasters Specialty Coffee House
Role Description The Head Chef will oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, consistency, and presentation align with Roasters’ specialty coffee concept. This full-time, on-site role in Dubai involves designing and updating menus, developing food items that complement specialty coffee offerings, and maintaining high culinary standards. The Head Chef will directly reports to Brand Chef, manage, train, and schedule kitchen staff, foster a culture of teamwork and safety, and ensure compliance with food hygiene and health regulations. Daily responsibilities include supervising food preparation, managing inventory and supplier relationships, controlling food costs, and monitoring waste. The role also includes collaborating with management and BAR teams to create seasonal pairings, support new product launches, and enhance the overall guest experience. Qualifications • Strong culinary expertise, with proven experience as a Sous Chef or senior kitchen leader in cafés, restaurants, or hospitality settings. • Menu development and food innovation skills, including the ability to design dishes that complement specialty coffee and align with brand standards. • Kitchen operations management skills, such as team leadership, staff training, workflow optimization, and scheduling. • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene regulations, and best practices in quality control and kitchen sanitation. • Inventory, purchasing, and cost-control skills, including vendor management and efficient use of ingredients. • Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work closely with front-of-house, barista teams, and management. • Ability to work on-site full time in Dubai, including flexibility for weekends, holidays, and peak service hours. • Relevant culinary education, certifications, or professional training; experience in specialty coffee or café-style cuisine is an advantage.
