Role Overview We are looking for a commercially driven Senior Business Development & Advisory Consultant to grow our corporate valuation & advisory practice in Dubai & Abu Dhabi. This is a consultative business development role rather than a transactional sales role. Our clients are credit & risk teams at banks, asset managers, developers, auditors, lawyers, family offices, corporate finance departments & government entities, & they buy on technical credibility as much as on relationship. The role holder will be responsible for building a pipeline of corporate valuation mandates, managing bank panel relationships & empanelment processes, & working alongside our valuation team to convert enquiries into signed mandates. This is a revenue-carrying position. The role holder is expected to generate fee income equivalent to at least five times their annual salary, reached on the ramp set out below & sustained thereafter. Revenue Expectation • Revenue is measured on a collected basis, not invoiced, so the role holder retains an interest in prompt settlement. • Targets are set annually in a separate target & commission letter, reviewed each January. • Progress is reviewed monthly with the Team Leader & formally at the end of each quarter. • During the ramp period the emphasis is on qualified pipeline value, panel applications submitted & meetings held, since revenue lags activity by one to two quarters in this market. Key Responsibilities Business Development & Pipeline • Build & maintain a qualified pipeline of corporate valuation & advisory mandates sufficient to support the revenue target. • Identify & approach target clients across banking, real estate development, asset management, professional firms including auditors & law firms, family offices & corporate finance. • Generate leads through direct approach, referrals, industry networks & existing group relationships. • Convert enquiries into scoped opportunities by understanding the client's underlying commercial requirement. • Maintain accurate activity, pipeline & conversion data to support forecasting. • Achieve the agreed monthly, quarterly & annual revenue targets set out above. Client Engagement & Proposal Management • Meet clients on site & at their offices to scope valuation & advisory requirements. • Work with the valuation team to shape technically accurate proposals & scopes of work. • Prepare, present & negotiate fee proposals, service scopes & engagement terms. • Manage the proposal cycle end to end, from enquiry through to signed engagement letter. • Handle client objections, fee negotiations & competitive positioning professionally. • Protect fee levels during negotiation & avoid discounting that undermines practice margin. • Ensure a smooth handover from mandate award to the delivery team. Bank Panel & Institutional Relationships • Manage panel applications & empanelment processes with UAE banks & financial institutions. • Maintain & strengthen existing panel relationships to protect & grow instruction volumes. • Act as the relationship point of contact for assigned institutional clients. • Monitor renewal dates, panel review cycles & documentation requirements. • Coordinate internally to ensure panel compliance & reporting requirements are met on time. • Build relationships across credit, risk, retail lending & corporate banking teams. Revenue Management & Collection • Own the commercial relationship through to settlement, not only to mandate award. • Monitor outstanding receivables on assigned accounts & support timely collection. • Escalate ageing balances & disputed invoices promptly. • Ensure fee agreements, purchase orders & engagement terms are documented before work begins. Market Intelligence & Advisory Support • Track competitor activity, fee levels & market pricing, & report findings to management. • Identify emerging demand across sectors, asset classes & Emirates. • Provide input into service positioning, pricing strategy & go-to-market planning. • Support the wider group in cross-selling accounting, tax, corporate services & research offerings. • Represent the group at industry events, client briefings, exhibitions & professional forums. • Contribute to marketing content, case studies & credentials material where required. Reporting & Governance • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, proposals & pipeline status. • Submit weekly pipeline & activity reports to the Team Leader. • Ensure client onboarding documentation & KYC requirements are completed correctly. • Work within the group's professional standards, confidentiality requirements & conflict of interest protocols. • Ensure all commitments made to clients are deliverable by the valuation team before they are made. Candidate Profile • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, Economics or a related discipline. • 3 - 5 years of business development or corporate sales experience gained in the UAE. • Demonstrable track record of selling professional services, financial services or property-related services to corporate or institutional clients. • Evidence of consistently achieving revenue targets, supported by figures. Candidates should be prepared to discuss the annual revenue they personally generated in their most recent role. • Experience dealing with senior client contacts, including credit, risk & corporate banking teams. • Understanding of the UAE real estate & financial services market. • Valid UAE driving license & own vehicle preferred.
