SCOPE: The Junior Quantity Surveyor will play a fundamental role in supporting the Quantity Surveying team by providing assistance in cost estimation, budget management, and project documentation. This role involves collaboration with senior Quantity Surveyors, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and efficient cost control throughout the project lifecycle. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Cost Estimation and Analysis: • Assist in preparing cost estimates for construction projects. • Analyze project specifications and drawings to determine accurate cost projections. Budget Management: • Support in budget preparation and monitoring throughout the project lifecycle. • Assist in tracking project expenses and ensuring adherence to the allocated budget. Documentation Management: • Maintain accurate project documentation related to quantity surveying. • Prepare reports, meeting minutes, and project updates as required. Stakeholder Communication: • Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and vendors to gather cost-related information. • Facilitate effective communication to ensure all stakeholders are informed. Quantity Surveying Support: • Assist in measuring and quantifying construction work for cost evaluation. • Participate in value engineering exercises to optimize project costs. Primary Deliverables: • Precise and On Time submission of any type of documents/reports/data. • Complete tasks efficiently and stay within budget as part of your job responsibilities Secondary Deliverables: • Provide input to other departments or parties as needed on time. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Assist in quantity take-offs and cost estimates. • Track and document changes to project specifications and scope. • Collaborate with the Quantity Surveying team to ensure accurate project costing. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: • Adhere to company policies, code of conduct, conflict of interest, standards, rules and regulations at all times. • Always prioritize keeping employee information and sensitive data confidential • Prioritize and ensure full compliance with the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) policies established by the company. • Accurate and On Time submissions of balanced scorecards. • Maintain supportive documentation to substantiate the actual performance for all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) outlined in the Balanced Scorecard (BSC). SKILLS: • Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools. • Familiarity with construction drawings and specifications. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). • Ability to interpret and analyze construction documents. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration. • Attention to detail and accuracy in work. • Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
