Job description Abu Alnaga Contracting is seeking a detail-oriented Procurement & Accounts Officer to manage purchasing and accounting activities for our construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction procurement, accounts payable, job costing, and vendor management. Key Responsibilities • ·Manage AP, AR, invoices, payments, bank reconciliations, and basic accounting records. • Handle procurement of construction materials, equipment, and services. • Source suppliers, obtain quotations, compare prices, and negotiate terms. • Prepare and manage purchase orders and procurement documentation. • Coordinate with project managers and site teams for material requirements and timely deliveries. • Verify supplier invoices, purchase orders, delivery notes, and payment documentation. • Monitor project costs, budgets, purchase commitments, and job costing. • Maintain supplier and subcontractor records and ensure proper documentation. • Process subcontractor payments and assist with billing and lien waiver documentation. • Identify cost-saving opportunities and maintain strong supplier relationships. • Support monthly financial reporting, WIP reporting, audits, and compliance. • Ensure procurement and accounting activities follow company policies and project requirements. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • 6–8 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in the construction industry • Proficiency in construction accounting software (e.g., Sage 300 CRE, Viewpoint Vista, Procore, QuickBooks, or similar) • Strong understanding of job costing, WIP reporting, and percentage-of-completion accounting • Knowledge of AIA billing, subcontract management, and lien waiver processes • Familiarity with prevailing wage, certified payroll, and union reporting is a plus • CPA or CPA candidate preferred • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment • Arabic Speaker preferred What We Offer · Competitive Salary Package · Comprehensive benefits package · Opportunities for professional growth and advancement · Collaborative and supportive team environment How to Apply Submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your construction accounting experience to [email protected] or apply directly through LinkedIn.
