Civil Structural Engineer

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Civil Structural Engineer role located in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates. The Civil Structural Engineer will design and review civil and structural systems for nuclear energy facilities and related infrastructure, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety requirements. Daily responsibilities include performing structural analysis and calculations, preparing engineering drawings and specifications, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams such as mechanical, electrical, and nuclear engineering. The role involves supporting project planning, inspections, and technical documentation, as well as contributing to risk assessments, construction oversight, and design optimization. The engineer will also communicate with clients and stakeholders to clarify requirements, provide technical input, and support project delivery within schedule and quality targets. Qualifications • Strong foundation in Civil Engineering and Structural Engineering, with experience applying these disciplines in complex infrastructure or energy projects. • Proficiency in Civil Engineering Design and Structural Analysis, including the use of relevant design codes, standards, and engineering software tools. • Demonstrated Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, coordination with stakeholders, and reporting on progress and risks. • Bachelor's degree (minimum) in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related discipline from an internationally accredited university. • Minimum of six years of progressive civil/ structural design engineering experience. • Prior experience in a nuclear power plant environment is preferred • Familiarity with UAE construction regulations and FANR regulatory framework is an advantage. • Proficiency in relevant design codes used in NPP. • Experience in seismic design and analysis. • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
