Key Responsibilities • Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons that inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of learning. • Create a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that nurtures individual strengths and learning styles. • Differentiate teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of all learners, including EAL, gifted, and students requiring additional support. • Integrate technology and innovative approaches to enhance student learning and engagement. • Assess, record, and communicate student progress effectively, using data to inform teaching and personalised support. • Collaborate with colleagues to design and refine IB-aligned curriculum plans, resources, and assessments. • Contribute to the wider life of the school through co-curricular activities, events, and community initiatives. • Build positive relationships with parents and the wider school community to support student growth and wellbeing. • Engage in ongoing professional learning and reflection to continuously enhance teaching practice. • Uphold the GEMS values and the IB Learner Profile in all aspects of school life. Skills Description The ideal candidate will have: • A certified professional teaching qualification at degree level, such as B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent in Digital Design specialism. • A minimum of 3 years of solid and demonstrable experience teaching Secondary Digital Design, ideally within an IB Curriculum School (preferred but not essential). • Experience teaching MYP & DP is preferred but not essential. • A passion for inspiring young learners through innovative and inquiry based teaching. • The vision, energy, commitment, and educational philosophy to contribute to the continued success of a leading flagship GEMS school with an international student body. • A desire to grow professionally and work within a collaborative, forward-thinking community.
