Job Description Primary Homeroom Teacher About The Role We are seeking an innovative, enthusiastic, and highly motivated Primary Teacher to join our Primary School. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a high-quality, engaging, and inclusive learning experience that inspires curiosity, builds confidence, and enables every child to achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities • Curriculum Planning & Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging, challenging, and well-sequenced lessons in line with the National Curriculum for England, adapting teaching to meet the needs of all learners. • High-Quality Teaching: Use a range of effective teaching strategies, including Do Now, modelling, questioning, scaffolding, and formative assessment, to ensure strong progress and attainment. • Literacy & Numeracy: Develop strong foundational skills in reading, writing, mathematics, and oracy, fostering a love of learning and encouraging pupils to become confident, independent learners. • Child-Centred Learning Environment: Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity, collaboration, independence, and positive attitudes towards learning. • Assessment & Progress: Use ongoing formative and summative assessment to identify strengths and areas for development, provide targeted support, and ensure that all pupils make strong progress. • Inclusion & Wellbeing: Provide appropriate challenge and support for all learners, including Students of Determination and pupils with English as an Additional Language (EAL), while promoting positive wellbeing and behaviour. • Parent Partnership: Establish positive and professional relationships with parents through regular communication, progress updates, meetings, and school events to strengthen the home-school partnership. • Professional Development: Engage actively in phase and team meetings, coaching, CPD, and professional learning opportunities to continually develop teaching practice. • Community & School Life: Contribute positively to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities, school events, trips, assemblies, and whole-school initiatives. • School Improvement: Support the implementation of school improvement priorities and contribute to a culture of high expectations, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Skills Description Skills & Experience Essential Requirements • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a relevant subject. • Teaching Qualification: Recognised teaching qualification, such as B.Ed., or equivalent. • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of successful primary teaching experience, preferably within a British curriculum or international school. • Curriculum Knowledge: Strong knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum for England, including effective approaches to teaching English and mathematics.
