Key Responsibilities: • Covering the credit approval process of the Corporate Banking Private Sector and Middle Market • Ensure that all the Credit Proposals are processed by CRMs within a stipulated time frame and that the same are in compliance with the prevailing rules and regulations as conveyed by the Central Bank of UAE. • •Ensure Credit Due Diligence clearly highlights deviations to Credit Policy Manual and Central Bank Guidelines. In exceptional circumstance where there are any deviations to the existing regulatory /Credit Policy guidelines, the same are clearly highlighted in the CRM recommendations. IFRS stage and ECL, additional capital impact is clearly highlighted. • Monitor exceptions reports pertaining to excesses/ overdrawn account, Past Dues and Expired Credit Proposals and discuss the same with Head of Credit, CCO and business heads for their feedback. Contribute towards maintaining a sound credit portfolio, hence, minimizing losses, maximizing return on assets & shareholder's as well as depositor's returns. • To conduct a joint visit to a customer with Business if so required in CRM's assessment to obtain clarity or to get more comfort regarding the performance or facts of the business. • Undergoing trainings to maintain & develop skills required for the job. Contributing to developing & mentoring a risk conscious culture in the bank by counselling & advising corrective measures. • Providing input & feedback on existing policies, guidelines & processes relating to Credit Risk to policy team on a periodic basis and whenever required/input is sought for drafting & updating of credit policies • Coordinate with Shari'ah, legal Department, Risk Management Department, CAD and Operation Department on issues related to Credit when it is required. • Coordinate with IT Department on matters related to systems and Management Information where necessary. • Review the TAT, Portfolio reports and exception reports received from CAD, related to expired limits, excess over limits, past due liabilities, documentation exceptions & non-compliance to approved terms/conditions/covenants of facilities (subject to availability of tools & reports) and to follow-up with business to ensure that adequate corrective actions are taken by BDs for rectification of all exceptions. To ensure that all material exceptions (as assessed by the CRMs) in the credit including documentation are mentioned in the CPs, wherever applicable. • Lead a team of credit managers and ensure that they are motivated and aligned to the overall objectives of the department and as well as the bank. • Ensure that the team members have the necessary skills and are given training opportunities in any year. Ensure distribution of work is based on the experience and skills of CRMs. • Coordinate with Business unit heads on various aspects of Credit Proposals and follow up on pending matters and issues. Work with other departments of the bank during various internal and external audits and other reviews. • All the above accountabilities include but not limited to any additional/new tasks or responsibilities assigned by the line Manager. Work Experience: • Minimum 8-10 years of working experience with bank of Regional or International Repute, working in Corporate and Credit Risk Management Department. Education: • Minimum bachelor's degree. Masters with major in business management, finance, accounting, economics. Holding professional certificates like CFA, CMA, FRM will be an advantage.
