Crane Operator & Heavy Vehicle Driver

Crane Operator & Heavy Truck Driver Astrea Group is seeking an experienced, reliable, and safety-focused Crane Operator & Heavy Truck Driver to join our operations team. This is a combined position. The selected candidate will be responsible for operating cranes and driving heavy trucks to transport materials and equipment across company facilities, warehouses, factories, suppliers, and project sites within the UAE. Mandatory Licence Requirements Candidates must hold BOTH of the following valid UAE licences: • Valid UAE Heavy Truck Driving Licence (Category No. 4). • Valid UAE Crane Operator Licence/Permit applicable to the required crane equipment. Both licences are mandatory. Candidates holding only one of these licences will not be considered. Key Responsibilities • Safely operate cranes to lift, move, load, unload, and position materials and equipment. • Safely drive heavy trucks and transport materials, equipment, and goods between company facilities and project sites. • Inspect the crane, truck, lifting accessories, wire ropes, hooks, outriggers, tyres, brakes, lights, and safety devices before operation. • Review load weights, lifting capacities, load charts, ground conditions, and working areas before commencing lifting operations. • Follow approved lifting plans and instructions from the lifting supervisor, rigger, or banksman. • Ensure loads and cargo are properly secured before lifting or transportation. • Comply with UAE traffic laws, lifting regulations, and company safety procedures. • Report mechanical defects, equipment damage, accidents, or maintenance requirements immediately. • Maintain the assigned crane and heavy truck in clean, safe, and serviceable condition. • Complete daily inspection checklists, trip records, mileage logs, fuel reports, and delivery documents. • Ensure all lifting, transportation, and delivery tasks are completed safely and on schedule. • Comply fully with all company HSE policies and operational procedures. Requirements • Valid UAE Heavy Truck Driving Licence (Category No. 4) — mandatory. • Valid UAE Crane Operator Licence/Permit — mandatory. • Minimum 2 years of practical experience in both crane operation and heavy truck driving in the UAE. • Proven knowledge of crane operations, lifting procedures, load charts, and equipment safety requirements. • Good knowledge of UAE roads, traffic regulations, and heavy-vehicle safety requirements. • Clean driving and safety record. • Ability to perform daily equipment and vehicle inspections. • Basic communication skills in English. • Ability to communicate in Hindi is preferred; Arabic is an advantage. • Physically fit, reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high safety standards.
