Cloud Solution Architect - Azure Infrastructure

Penta Consulting are a technology service provider and leading outsourced partner helping to deliver professional and managed solutions across the EMEA. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Solution Architect with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure to design, implement, and optimize cloud solutions for enterprise-scale environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience across Azure infrastructure areas such as compute, networking, storage, monitoring, and virtualization technologies. Key Responsibilities: • Design and architect scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure. • Lead technical discussions and provide guidance on: • Azure Compute: Virtual Machines, Scale Sets • Azure Networking: VNETs, NSGs, Load Balancers, VPNs, ExpressRoute • Azure Storage: Blob, File, Disk, and Archive storage solutions • Azure Monitoring: Log Analytics Workspace (LAW), Application Insights • Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD): Design and deployment of virtual desktop infrastructure • Azure VMware Solution (AVS): Integration and migration strategies for hybrid environments • Azure Stack HCI/Azure Local: Azure Local (Azure Stack HCI): familiarity with deployment and operations concepts • Azure Arc: familiarity with onboarding hybrid servers/resources, policy and extensions, and troubleshooting common agent/connectivity issues. Required Skills & Experience • Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or similar role with a focus on Microsoft Azure. • Strong understanding of Azure IaaS, PaaS, and hybrid cloud models. • Hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Machines, Scale Sets, Networking, and Storage. • Proficiency in Azure Monitoring tools including LAW and Application Insights. • Experience deploying and managing Azure Virtual Desktop environments. • Familiarity with Azure VMware Solution and hybrid cloud integration. • Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform) is a plus. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-305, AZ-104, AZ-500) are highly desirable. Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. • Experience in enterprise IT environments and cloud migration projects. • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines in Azure.
