Sr. Planning Engineer Duration : 6 months Availability should be Immediate. Job Summary : The Senior Planning Engineer is responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. The role involves planning, scheduling, progress tracking, delay analysis, resource planning, risk assessment, and coordination with project stakeholders to achieve project objectives. Key Responsibilities • Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project. • Prepare baseline schedules in accordance with contract requirements and project milestones. • Monitor project progress and update schedules regularly. • Perform schedule analysis, identify critical path activities, and recommend corrective actions. • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and executive summaries. • Conduct earned value analysis (EVA) and productivity assessments. • Analyze delays and prepare Extension of Time (EOT) claims and supporting documentation. • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure schedule alignment. • Develop recovery and acceleration plans when required. • Prepare manpower histograms, resource loading, and cash flow forecasts. • Participate in project review meetings and present schedule performance. • Identify schedule risks and develop mitigation strategies. • Ensure compliance with client specifications, contract requirements, and company procedures. • Support tender planning by preparing preliminary schedules and resource estimates. Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Construction Management, or a related Engineering discipline. • 8–15 years of planning and scheduling experience in construction, infrastructure, oil & gas, power, or industrial projects. • Strong knowledge of project planning principles and project controls. • Proficiency in Primavera P6 is essential. • Experience with Microsoft Project and advanced Microsoft Excel. • Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM), Critical Path Method (CPM), and delay analysis techniques. • Knowledge of contract conditions (FIDIC or equivalent) is preferred. • Professional certifications such as PMP, PMI-SP, PSP (AACE), or equivalent are advantageous.
