You will be accountable for the technical integrity, quality, and timely delivery of all electrical engineering activities while ensuring compliance with project requirements, international codes, company standards, and client specifications. In this strategic role, you will act as a subject matter expert, driving engineering excellence, mentoring multidisciplinary teams, and supporting complex project execution throughout FEED, Detailed Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning phases. You will work closely with project management, clients, vendors, and discipline leads to deliver innovative, safe, and cost-effective engineering solutions. Your Main Missions and Responsibilities • Lead and oversee all Electrical Engineering activities for large and complex projects, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with contractual requirements. • Provide technical direction, guidance, and decision-making support to Lead Engineers, Senior Engineers, and project teams. • Develop and review Electrical Design Basis, philosophies, specifications, calculations, and engineering deliverables throughout all project phases. • Ensure timely and high-quality preparation of technical specifications, requisitions, data sheets, and bid evaluations in coordination with other disciplines. • Perform and validate critical electrical engineering calculations and studies, including: • Electrical Load Flow Analysis • Short Circuit Studies • Motor Starting Studies • Protection Coordination Studies • Arc Flash Analysis • Harmonic Analysis • Transient and Stability Studies • UPS and Battery Sizing • Cable Sizing and Voltage Drop Calculations • Earthing and Lightning Protection Studies • ETAP Modeling and Power System Simulations • Review and approve electrical deliverables including: • Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) • Load Lists • Cable Schedules • Electrical Equipment Layouts • Substation Layouts • Lighting and Earthing Drawings • Hazardous Area Classification Inputs • Material Take-Offs (MTOs) • Lead technical evaluations and selection of electrical equipment, automation systems, package units, and bulk materials. • Ensure effective technical communication with suppliers and manage vendor documentation reviews and approvals. • Provide technical assurance that all supplied equipment meets project and contractual specifications. • Support value engineering initiatives and identify opportunities for design optimization, cost reduction, and improved project performance. • Lead electrical design reviews, HAZOPs, SIL workshops, constructability reviews, and interdisciplinary coordination meetings. • Provide engineering solutions for brownfield and revamp projects, including adequacy assessments, debottlenecking studies, and modification scope development for existing facilities. • Monitor engineering progress, budgets, schedules, and resource allocation while ensuring adherence to project objectives. • Interface with clients, licensors, contractors, vendors, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project management teams. • Support proposal, tendering, and business development activities by providing technical expertise and estimates. • Drive continuous improvement, innovation, digitalization, and best engineering practices within the Electrical discipline. • Mentor, coach, and develop junior and senior engineers while fostering technical knowledge sharing across the organization. • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, sustainability, and HSE requirements throughout project execution. Qualifications and Experience • Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. • Minimum 18-20 years of experience in Electrical Engineering Design and Project Execution within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, LNG, Refinery, Energy, or Industrial sectors. • Extensive experience across FEED, Detailed Engineering, EPC, EPCM, Greenfield, and Brownfield projects. • Expert proficiency in ETAP and electrical system modeling and analysis. • Proven experience leading electrical engineering teams on large and complex projects. • Strong experience in the preparation and review of Electrical Design Basis, philosophies, specifications, technical requisitions, and engineering deliverables. • Significant expertise in the specification, evaluation, and procurement support of: • HV, MV, and LV Power Systems • Substations • Transformers • Switchgear • UPS and Battery Systems • Motors and VFDs • Package Equipment • Electrical Bulk Materials • Automation and Control Systems Interfaces • Extensive experience in power system studies and electrical network optimization. • Comprehensive knowledge of international codes and standards including IEC, IEEE, NFPA, API, NEMA, and relevant client specifications. • Strong understanding of onshore and offshore electrical engineering practices and industry regulations. • Demonstrated experience in brownfield modifications, electrical system assessments, adequacy reviews, and debottlenecking studies. • Proven ability to interface effectively with clients and provide technical leadership on multidisciplinary projects. • Professional Engineer certification or equivalent professional accreditation is desirable.
