The Project Manager is responsible for managing infrastructure, solution development, and solution delivery projects within the portfolio of the Sharjah Digital Department (SDD). The incumbent will ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with SDD's strategic objectives through rigorous governance, stakeholder engagement, and delivery discipline. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Portfolio & Project Governance • Responsible and accountable for the coordinated management of multiple related projects directed toward the customer's strategic business and other organisational objectives. • Effectively initiate, plan, schedule, estimate, forecast, coordinate, control, manage, and deliver all activities across projects and related release initiatives. • Establish and maintain overall project success criteria including time, cost, technical performance parameters, and quality benchmarks. • Review, approve, and maintain all project documentation, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and alignment with SDD standards. Stakeholder Management & Communication • Build credibility, establish rapport, and maintain proactive communication with stakeholders at multiple levels, including those external to the organisation. • Serve as the primary point of contact between project teams, technical leads, business owners, and senior leadership. • Prepare and present regular project status reports, executive dashboards, and steering committee updates. Risk, Issue & Change Management • Lead risk management and issue tracking activities, managing the day-to-day operational aspects of projects proactively. • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks; maintain a risk register and escalate critical issues in a timely manner. • Manage change requests and scope variations through a formal change control process, assessing impact on schedule, budget, and quality. Delivery & Quality Assurance • Drive adherence to project methodology standards (PMI/PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum as applicable) across all project phases. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Criteria Requirement Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field Experience 8+ years of project management experience; at least 4 years managing IT infrastructure or digital transformation projects Certifications PMP or PRINCE2 certification mandatory; Agile/Scrum certification (CSM, PMI-ACP) preferred Domain Expertise Proven experience managing infrastructure, cloud, or enterprise solution delivery projects in a government or large enterprise environment Tools Proficiency in MS Project, Jira, Confluence, or equivalent PM tools; familiarity with ITIL frameworks is an advantage Language Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; Arabic is an advantage Salary- upto 30 K AED NP-30 Days Show more Show less
