Role Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Finance Assistant / Accounts Assistant / Junior Accountant to support daily finance and accounting operations while ensuring accurate, timely, and well-maintained financial records. In this role, you will assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable, invoice processing, payment preparation, expense tracking, bank reconciliations, and general ledger activities. You will work closely with the finance and accounting team to record financial transactions, verify supporting documentation, monitor outstanding balances, and support monthly and year-end closing processes. Responsibilities include preparing and processing invoices, reviewing expense claims, recording receipts and payments, reconciling financial accounts, maintaining accounting records, and assisting with financial reports and management summaries. You will also support budgeting activities, cash flow monitoring, audit preparation, tax documentation, and internal financial controls where required. The role involves communicating with customers, suppliers, vendors, internal departments, and external stakeholders to resolve account-related queries and ensure financial information is accurate and complete. You will use accounting software, spreadsheets, and financial systems to process transactions, organize financial data, and prepare reports for review. You may also assist in identifying discrepancies, investigating account variances, improving accounting workflows, and ensuring compliance with established financial policies and procedures. Success in this position requires strong numerical and analytical abilities, excellent attention to detail, effective organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining financial accuracy, confidentiality, and professional integrity. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline. • Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles, bookkeeping practices, financial transactions, and standard accounting procedures. • Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger activities, bank reconciliation, invoice processing, expense management, and payment processing. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, Pivot Tables, lookups, sorting, filtering, and basic financial data analysis. • Familiarity with accounting and financial management software such as QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or similar platforms is an advantage. • Ability to accurately record, classify, verify, reconcile, and maintain financial transactions and supporting documentation. • Understanding of financial reporting, month-end and year-end closing procedures, budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and basic financial analysis. • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. • Ability to identify discrepancies, investigate account variances, and assist in resolving financial and accounting issues efficiently. • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple accounting tasks and meet established deadlines. • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally with colleagues, customers, vendors, auditors, and other stakeholders. • Ability to maintain accurate and well-organized financial records while handling confidential financial information with discretion and integrity. • Familiarity with audit preparation, tax documentation, expense reporting, financial controls, and regulatory accounting requirements is considered an advantage. • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with finance, accounting, and cross-functional teams. • Proactive, dependable, adaptable, and willing to learn new accounting systems, financial technologies, reporting tools, and industry best practices. • Commitment to maintaining high standards of financial accuracy, confidentiality, compliance, professional integrity, and quality across all accounting and finance activities.
