Financial Analyst / Investment Analyst / Research Analyst

Role Description This full-time remote role combines responsibilities typical of Financial Analyst, Investment Analyst, and Research Analyst positions within the context of an EU-funded research project. The analyst will support financial planning and monitoring of project activities, including budget analysis, forecasting, and reporting aligned with Horizon Europe requirements. Day-to-day tasks include conducting investment and funding opportunity research, analyzing financial data, assessing cost-effectiveness of project initiatives, and preparing clear, data-driven reports for project partners and stakeholders. The role also involves evaluating resource allocation strategies, supporting risk assessment and mitigation, and contributing to long-term sustainability and impact analyses for META-MUSEUM. Collaboration with academic, cultural, and technical partners is expected, requiring effective communication, structured documentation, and adherence to ethical and non-discriminatory practices. Qualifications • Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and experience in quantitative and qualitative data analysis. • Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Finance and Investments, with the ability to interpret financial statements and project budgets. • Candidates should possess expertise in Investment Research and Investment Strategies, including evaluating funding options and financial risks. • Relevant academic background such as a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field. • Experience with financial modeling, forecasting tools, and spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel) and data visualization tools. • Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in an international, multidisciplinary environment. • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; additional European languages are an asset. • Familiarity with EU-funded projects, research environments, or cultural/creative sectors is beneficial.
