Job Title Senior Financial Analyst Job Scope The Senior Financial Analyst is accountable for tracking the company’s financial performance, analyzing business performance and market conditions to create forecasts and support senior management in tactical and strategic decisions through periodic reports. S/He trains and mentors the Financial Analyst(s) as and when needed. Main Duties And Responsibilities • Consolidate and analyze financial statements, forecast future revenues and expenditures and create financial models for decision support • Support the management team in developing financial plans and determine the best use of resources to achieve business objectives/business case • Identify trends, keep track of financial performance and provide recommendations for optimization based on set financial plans • Perform variance studies and comparative performance and develop forecast models accordingly • Generate periodic reports and work closely with the accounting/finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting • Develop, update and drive process and policy improvements optimizing workflows and improving financial growth • Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance • Understand the various departments and divisions and provide ideas to grow and improve the business • Consult with the management team to guide strategic decision making and provide support to projects as and when needed • Maintain knowledge and keep abreast of new financial regulations or policies • Oversee the daily activities of the Financial Analyst(s) and mentor as needed Position Requirements Education Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance Experience • Minimum 4–5 years of experience as a Financial Analyst, Data Analyst, or in a similar data-driven role. • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and deliver actionable business insights. • Highly data-driven profile with excellent logical thinking, problem-solving, and reporting capabilities. • Preferably from the IT industry or a technology-driven environment. • Experience analyzing data across multiple regions, product portfolios, and business units. • Proven ability to analyze key business performance metrics, including sales performance, profitability, trends, KPIs, forecasting, and variance analysis. • Experience leveraging AI-powered analytics and reporting tools to enhance data analysis and business decision-making. • Advanced proficiency in AI tools for Excel, data analysis, chart and dashboard creation, reporting, and data interpretation is mandatory. • Ability to utilize AI tools to improve productivity, automate reporting processes, and generate meaningful business insights. • Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, Power Query, advanced formulas, and data visualization.
