Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for an Senior Accountant. The role is located in Karama, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. We are looking for a highly competent and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting fundamentals, hands-on experience managing multiple client portfolios, and practical expertise in UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a consulting environment, advising diverse businesses, and delivering high-quality financial and tax services. Candidate should have hands on experience in using software like Tally, Zoho, Quick books. An Accountant shall be preparing and analyzing financial records and statements , ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and overseeing client books. Key Responsibilities: Accounting & Bookkeeping • Manage end-to-end bookkeeping for a portfolio of UAE-based clients across various industries. • Maintain accurate accounting records in accordance with IFRS and UAE regulations. • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports. • Perform bank, supplier, customer, and general ledger reconciliations. • Review accounting entries and ensure accuracy of financial data. • Coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities. VAT Compliance • Prepare and review UAE VAT returns. • Ensure timely VAT filing and payment compliance. • Conduct VAT reconciliations and identify potential compliance issues. • Assist clients with VAT registrations, deregistrations, voluntary disclosures, and FTA correspondence. • Support VAT audits and respond to FTA queries. Corporate Tax • Prepare Corporate Tax computations and returns in accordance with UAE Corporate Tax Law. • Review financial statements from a tax perspective. • Assist clients with Corporate Tax registration and compliance requirements. • Support tax planning initiatives and ensure timely filings. • Stay updated with FTA regulations and legislative changes. Client Advisory • Manage relationships with assigned clients and serve as their primary accounting contact. • Provide practical financial and compliance advice to business owners. • Coordinate with clients to obtain required accounting documentation. • Ensure high-quality service delivery within agreed timelines. Internal Responsibilities • Review work prepared by junior accountants. • Mentor and guide junior team members. • Improve accounting processes and internal controls. • Support audit engagements by coordinating with external auditors. Qualifications: • Strong accounting fundamentals. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • High attention to detail and accuracy. • Strong communication and client relationship management skills. • Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities. • Self-driven, proactive, and accountable. • Team player with leadership potential. • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho, Zero, or Tally) is a plus.
