Role Description The Senior Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, responsible for managing and overseeing the company’s financial accounting and reporting activities. This role includes preparing and reviewing financial statements, maintaining general ledger accounts, and ensuring accurate posting of journal entries. The Senior Accountant will manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, reconcile bank and account balances, and monitor cash flow. They will oversee accounts payable and receivable, support budgeting and forecasting, and ensure compliance with local regulations, tax requirements, and internal policies. The role also involves collaborating with internal departments and external auditors, improving financial procedures, and providing management with clear financial analysis and recommendations. Qualifications • Strong financial accounting and reporting skills, including general ledger management, journal entries, and preparation of financial statements. • Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and variance reporting to support data-driven decision-making. • Experience with accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash flow management. • Knowledge of UAE accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements, including audit preparation. • Advanced user of accounting and ERP software, along with solid skills in spreadsheets and financial modeling tools. • Excellent attention to detail, organizational abilities, and time management skills to meet deadlines consistently. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) is an advantage. • Several years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in professional services, consulting, or a multi-service business environment. • Ability to work on-site in Dubai and maintain high ethical standards, integrity, and confidentiality in handling financial information.
