Mechanical Engineer / Naval Engineer

Job description Dredge Yard is seeking a Mechanical Engineer / Naval Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design and development of dredging equipment and vessels. This is a hybrid role combining mechanical systems design and naval engineering, with involvement from concept through to commissioning. Key Responsibilities • Design mechanical systems and dredging components • Develop 3D models and engineering drawings (CAD) preferably Inventor • Perform stability calculations and support vessel design • Contribute to pontoon and marine system layouts • Ensure compliance with classification rules and marine standards • Support fabrication, installation, and commissioning Qualifications & Experience • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Naval Architecture. • 5+ years in marine, shipbuilding, or dredging projects. • Experience with stability calculations and vessel design. • Proficiency in CAD software. • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team. • Familiarity with ABS, DNV, BV, or IRS standards. • Must be available in the UAE.
