Job Description As a Demi Chef de Partie – Bakery, you will support the daily operations of the bakery section by preparing a variety of high-quality breads, pastries, viennoiserie, and other baked goods. Working under the guidance of the Chef de Partie or Bakery Chef, you will ensure consistent product quality, maintain food safety and hygiene standards, and contribute to the efficient operation of the bakery. You will also assist in supervising junior team members and help deliver bakery products that meet the highest standards of taste, quality, and presentation expected in a luxury hospitality environment. • Prepare and bake a variety of breads, rolls, buns, pastries, croissants, and other bakery products according to standard recipes. • Assist the Chef de Partie in the daily operations of the bakery section. • Ensure consistency in product quality, taste, texture, and presentation. • Prepare, mix, shape, proof, and bake dough according to production schedules. • Monitor fermentation, baking times, and product quality to achieve consistent results. • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery section in compliance with food safety and hygiene standards. • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients and finished products using FIFO procedures. • Assist with inventory management, stock control, and minimizing food waste. • Operate bakery equipment safely and report any maintenance issues. • Support the training and development of Commis Chefs and junior team members. • Work collaboratively with the culinary team to meet daily production and service requirements. • Comply with HACCP, health, safety, and company standards. • Perform other duties as assigned by the Bakery Chef or Executive Chef.
