Team Overview Technical Projects Division (Gas Operations) is responsible for delivering a diverse portfolio of Projects and Engineering modifications across ADNOC Gas assets including Habshan, Bab, BuHasa, Asab, and Habshan‑5. The division manages multiple projects at various Stages ranging from ASSESS, SELECT, DEFINE, EXECUTE, including tendering activities. It manages site execution, material procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up to final handover, ensuring structured delivery aligned with ADNOC strategic growth objectives and operational reliability requirements. The team leads and delivers integrated project management, engineering assurance, and interface coordination, driving the safe, efficient, and timely execution of projects. It enforces full compliance with ADNOC standards, HSE requirements, and value assurance frameworks, ensuring structured project delivery aligned with the Group Value Assurance Process. By proactively engaging and aligning with key stakeholders, Operations, Central Engineering, licensors, vendors, OEMs, and E/EP/EPC contractors, the team drives delivery excellence, enhances asset performance, and enables uninterrupted production growth. In addition, the team manages Business Continuity fast‑track projects to support ADNOC business strategies, ensuring timely response to critical operational requirements and maintaining uninterrupted production and asset reliability. With a strong focus on governance, risk management, and stakeholder alignment, Technical Projects Division plays a critical role in enabling capacity enhancements, debottlenecking initiatives, and brownfield developments / modifications across ADNOC Gas facilities, supporting long-term operational sustainability and value maximization. Summary Of The Role, key challenges, key success factors Role Manage a portfolio of projects and provide leadership, direction, and oversight to multiple Project Managers to ensure successful delivery of projects in accordance with approved scope, schedule, cost, quality, HSE, and business objectives. Drive project governance, portfolio performance, resource optimization, risk management, and stakeholder alignment across the project portfolio while ensuring compliance with ADNOC policies, GVAP requirements, contractual obligations, and applicable regulations. Key Accountabilities Project Portfolio Management • Manage and oversee a portfolio of projects throughout the project lifecycle from ASSESS through EXECUTE and handover. • Direct and guide Project Managers in planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of assigned projects. • Ensure alignment of project portfolio priorities with ADNOC business strategies and operational objectives. • Monitor portfolio performance and implement corrective actions to address project schedule, cost, resource, or execution issues. • Review and challenge project execution strategies to ensure optimum project delivery and value realization. Project Governance & Assurance • Establish and maintain project governance frameworks, decision gates, and assurance processes across the portfolio. • Ensure compliance with ADNOC GVAP requirements and project approval processes. • Review project performance, risks, opportunities, and readiness for progression through lifecycle gates. • Provide recommendations to Management on project priorities, investment decisions, and project execution strategies. • Drive consistent application of project management standards, methodologies, and best practices. Leadership & Management of Project Managers • Provide leadership and technical guidance to Project Managers. • Monitor project manager performance and support achievement of project objectives. • Facilitate knowledge sharing, lessons learned, and continuous improvement across the project portfolio. • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and project delivery excellence. • Support development of project management competencies and succession planning. Portfolio Planning, Cost & Resource Management • Review and consolidate project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and resource requirements. • Support development of annual CAPEX plans and long-term project investment strategies. • Monitor portfolio expenditure and identify cost optimization opportunities. • Review major project changes, claims, variations, and contractual issues. • Ensure effective allocation of project resources across the portfolio. Stakeholder & Interface Management • Maintain effective engagement with ADNOC Gas leadership, ADNOC Group companies, Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Legal, HSE, and other stakeholders. • Resolve high-impact project issues requiring senior management intervention. • Facilitate alignment between Project Managers, Operations, Engineering, PMC, licensors, EPC contractors, and regulatory bodies. • Represent the project portfolio in management reviews, governance forums, and executive meetings. Risk, HSE & Quality Management • Ensure implementation of ADNOC HSE, sustainability, quality, and risk management requirements across the portfolio. • Monitor strategic project risks and ensure effective mitigation plans are implemented. • Promote safe project execution and a strong project HSE culture. • Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, governance standards, and quality requirements. Performance, Reporting & Continuous Improvement • Review portfolio KPIs and project performance metrics. • Provide consolidated portfolio reports and executive updates to Management. • Drive project delivery improvements through benchmarking, lessons learned, and continuous improvement initiatives. • Promote digitalization, innovation, and efficient project delivery practices.
