External Job Description About the Opportunity The Satellite Payload Electrical Engineer will join the SAR Payload System Engineering team, supporting the design, development, integration, and testing of electrical and electronic systems for satellite payloads, including power, communication, and control systems. As part of the UAE Technology Transfer (ToK) program, the successful candidate will receive structured training and hands-on experience to develop the competencies required to independently perform this role on future space programs. Key Responsibilities Support the design, analysis, and testing of satellite payload electrical subsystems. Contribute to power conditioning and distribution units, solar panels, batteries, wiring, harnesses, and connectors. Perform electrical performance analyses, including power budgets, load estimations, and energy efficiency assessments. Conduct laboratory testing of electrical and electronic equipment and support test plan implementation. Troubleshoot issues during Assembly, Integration, and Test (AIT) activities. Prepare technical documentation, including test procedures, reports, and engineering records. Develop knowledge of systems engineering and requirements management while working within a multidisciplinary team. Education & Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline. Previous internship, academic project, or relevant work experience is advantageous. Basic understanding of electrical systems, electronics testing, and engineering analysis. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Curious, proactive, detail-oriented, and adaptable, with the ability to work in collaborative and fast-paced environments.
