We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team in Dubai. The EMT will be responsible for providing patient care and safe transport in non-emergency and inter-facility settings, while also operating the ambulance. The ideal candidate is DCAS license-ready, holds a valid UAE driving licence, and has a strong commitment to patient care. Responsibilities • Respond promptly to dispatch and provide efficient, protocol-driven patient care • Transport patients safely to, from, and between healthcare facilities • Deliver basic life support and approved emergency medical procedures within EMT scope of practice • Safely operate, clean, and maintain the ambulance and all onboard medical equipment • Collaborate with clinical crew, receiving facilities, and first responders • Accurately document patient information and care provided on the patient care record Requirements • Valid UAE driving licence appropriate to the vehicle class, with a clean driving record — this is a combined EMT/driver role • DataFlow (Primary Source Verification) completed and DCAS Prometric examination passed — mandatory. Candidates must already be through these two steps at application stage • Valid DCAS professional EMT license — strongly preferred, but not mandatory if DataFlow and Prometric are complete • Experience letters from previous employers — required. Candidates must be able to produce formal experience letters verifying their work history (these underpin DataFlow verification and evidence the experience requirement below) • Qualification pathway (per DCAS PQR): Academic Diploma in Emergency Medical Services (including 540 hours pre-hospital clinical practicum), or qualification as an Assistant Nurse or Registered Nurse • Valid and current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and Trauma Life Support (ITLS or PHTLS) • Experience (one of): • Minimum 1 year as an EMT post-EMS qualification, or • Minimum 2 years in ER / ICU / CCU (for nursing-qualified candidates) • Commitment to maintaining annual CPD/CME and completing the DCAS OSCE for license renewal • Excellent communication in English; Arabic (or other languages) is a strong advantage • Ability to stay calm and make sound decisions under pressure • Physical fitness to lift and carry patients and heavy equipment • Clean, professional appearance Preferred • Valid active DCAS EMT license already in hand • Prior experience in the Dubai/UAE medical or ambulance sector • Good working knowledge of UAE roads and Dubai geography Benefits • Competitive salary package • Health insurance coverage • Opportunities for professional development and training • Supportive and collaborative work environment • Annual leave and other statutory benefits, as per UAE labor laws Show more Show less
