External Job Description About the Role As Product Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, reliability, and compliance of FADA’s space systems throughout their lifecycle — from concept to launch and operations. You will lead the implementation of Product Assurance frameworks that align with ECSS and NASA standards, embedding mission assurance principles across satellite platforms, payloads, and ground systems. This role is central to preventing failures, managing risks, and ensuring that every component and process meets the highest standards of spaceflight readiness. Key Responsibilities Product Assurance Strategy • Develop and maintain Product Assurance Plans tailored to each mission, aligned with ECSS/NASA standards and AS9100 • Define and enforce PA requirements across design, integration, testing, and operational phases • Lead PA reviews including MRR, TRR, QR, and FAR, ensuring readiness at every milestone • Oversee materials, processes, and parts control, ensuring traceability and compliance with space-grade standards • Manage non-conformance control, including root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for flight-critical issues Reliability & Risk Management • Apply RAMS methodologies (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety) to spacecraft and ground systems • Conduct FMEA/FMECA, fault tree analysis, and hazard assessments for subsystems and payloads • Maintain risk registers, support risk mitigation planning, and contribute to Go/No-Go decisions • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure robust design assurance and failure prevention Supplier & Process Assurance • Lead supplier PA audits, qualification reviews, and incoming inspection protocols • Ensure subcontractor compliance with PA requirements and manage PA interfaces across the supply chain • Monitor configuration control, documentation traceability, and change management processes • Support cleanliness, contamination control, and ESD protocols throughout AIT activities Regulatory Compliance & Governance • Ensure alignment with ECSS, AS9100, ISO 9001, and UAE space regulatory frameworks • Support export control, ITAR/EAR compliance, and interface with legal/governance teams • Prepare and lead PA documentation for customer reviews, regulatory audits, and mission assurance boards Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Systems Engineering, or related field • 8+ years in Product Assurance, Mission Assurance, or Reliability Engineering within the space sector • Deep knowledge of ECSS-Q-ST, NASA-STD-8739, and space-grade hardware assurance practices • Proven experience in PA planning, risk management, and supplier assurance • Familiarity with tools such as SAP DMS, NCR systems, configuration management platforms • Strong communication and leadership skills across multidisciplinary and international teams #FADA Show more Show less
