Principal Mechanical Design Engineer

James L. Williams Middle East is seeking a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing team delivering hyperscale and mission-critical data centre projects across the UAE and KSA. Key Responsibilities • Lead mechanical design and design reviews for large-scale data centre and mission-critical projects • Oversee HVAC, Plumbing Water, Plumbing Drainage, Plumbing LPG and Fire Fighting systems • Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams, consultants, contractors and clients • Conduct independent design reviews and ensure compliance with local and international standards • Provide technical leadership on equipment selection, procurement and value engineering initiatives • Liaise with authorities and support design approvals • Mentor and develop junior engineers while ensuring high-quality project delivery Requirements • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering • 10–15 years' experience in mechanical building services design • Proven experience delivering hyperscale, colocation or mission-critical data centre projects • Experience leading complex, multidisciplinary engineering design projects • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and fire fighting systems and applicable international standards • Proficiency in Hevacomp, IESVE, CYMAP, AutoCAD and Revit • Strong communication, coordination and stakeholder management skills Show more Show less
