We are looking for a qualified mid-level Legal Counsel to provide full legal support for our business operations in the UAE, including both mainland and free zone entities. This is a legal role for a practicing lawyer, not an assistant, administrator, or purely coordinating function. Key Responsibilities · Independently draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including supply, distribution, logistics, warehousing, and other day-to-day business agreements. · Prepare legal documents, including claims, complaints, court submissions, and other legal correspondence. · Manage and support litigation and dispute resolution matters, including cooperation with external counsel where required. · Provide legal support for up to 10 entities in the UAE across mainland and free zones. · Advise internal stakeholders on day-to-day legal matters and work closely with several departments across the business. · Work within electronic document approval and contract workflow systems. · Monitor legal developments in the UAE and assess their impact on the company’s operations. Requirements · 4–6 years of legal experience, preferably with relevant exposure to the UAE. · Experience in retail or trading will be considered an advantage. · Proven experience in litigation and dispute handling. · Strong practical experience in independently drafting contracts, claims, complaints, and statements of claim. · Strong legal research skills and the ability to support legal positions with references to applicable laws and regulations. · Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with multiple departments. · Knowledge of UAE employment law will be considered a plus. · Experience with DIAC and understanding of English law principles as applied to supply contracts are not required, but will be considered an advantage.
