QuantumGate
QuantumGate is dedicated to developing and commercializing cutting-edge post-quantum cryptographic solutions. Our mission is to safeguard enterprise digital environments through innovative protocols and applications that address the evolving challenges of the post-quantum era. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Site Reliability Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable, resilient, and secure infrastructure that powers mission-critical applications. You will collaborate closely with software engineers, security teams, and platform engineers to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability across systems. As an SRE, you will drive automation, improve system observability, and champion DevSecOps practices while maintaining a strong focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: System Reliability & Performance: • Design, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant systems. • Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and proactively prevent outages. • Define and manage SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs to ensure service reliability. • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures. Infrastructure & Automation: • Build and manage cloud-native infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC). • Automate provisioning, deployment, and scaling of applications and infrastructure. • Improve CI/CD pipelines to enable faster, safer deployments. • Develop reusable tools and frameworks to enhance operational efficiency. Observability & Monitoring • Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions. • Build dashboards and alerts to provide real-time visibility into system performance. • Optimize observability strategies to reduce noise and improve incident response. DevSecOps & Security • Integrate security best practices into development and operations workflows. • Ensure compliance with security standards and policies across infrastructure. • Perform risk assessments and support vulnerability remediation efforts. Incident Management • Participate and handle production incidents. • Lead incident response efforts and coordinate cross-team resolutions. • Continuously improve incident management processes and documentation. Collaboration & Documentation • Work closely with development teams to improve system design and reliability. • Document infrastructure, processes, and runbooks for operational excellence. • Mentor junior engineers and promote SRE best practices across teams. Requirements: • BsC / MsC / PhD in Computer Science or any other relevant engineering degree. • 5y+ demonstrable experience designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, highly available systems on major cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure. • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools and automation frameworks such as Terraform, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes; including automated unit and system level testing environments. • Expertise in DevSecOps, observability, and cloud security. Nice to have • Familiarity with modern log aggregation, monitoring, and traceability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and OpenTelemetry. • Experience in documenting environments and operational processes, as well as participating in on-call rotations and handling after-hours support. • Working knowledge of advanced networking and security principles, with experience in vulnerability assessment and risk management.
