General Accountant

Job Description

Requirements

• - Record and maintain daily financial transactions in the accounting system.
• - Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
• - Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• - Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
• - Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with ZATCA regulations.
• - Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• - Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
• - Process employee expense claims and petty cash transactions.
• - Manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
• - Utilize Odoo ERP to process accounting transactions and generate financial reports.
• - Support internal and external audits.
• - Collaborate with other departments on financial and operational matters.
• Qualifications
• - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• - 3–5 years of experience as a General Accountant.
• - Hands-on experience with Odoo ERP is required.
• - Strong knowledge of accounting principles, VAT, and financial reporting.
• - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• - Professional certifications such as SOCPA, ACCA, CMA, or CPA are an advantage.
• - Fluent in Arabic and English (written and spoken).
