Requirements

• QUALIFICATIONS:
• - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• - 4 years of backend engineering experience.
• - Strong Java, Spring Boot, REST API design, SQL, and Git.
• - Hands-on experience with containers, CI/CD, and distributed systems (Good to have)
• - Payments or regulated financial services experience preferred (Good to have)

Responsibilities

• - Design and develop scalable backend services and APIs in Java and Spring Boot within a microservices architecture.
• - Own delivery of complex features end to end, from technical design through production.
• - Design and optimize database interactions, integrations, and inter-service communication.
• - Build and operate event-driven flows using Kafka and enterprise messaging.
• - Ensure solutions meet security, performance, availability, and maintainability requirements.
• - Apply secure coding practices for authentication, authorization, encryption, and sensitive data handling.
• - Conduct code reviews and uphold engineering standards across the squad.
• - Troubleshoot complex production issues and implement durable fixes.
• - Contribute to technical design decisions and application architecture.
• - Improve CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, deployment, and observability on OpenShift/Kubernetes.
• - Identify technical debt and drive improvements to design and code quality.
• - Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge across the chapter.
