IVF Lab Technologist

Job Purpose / Objective Perform variety of laboratory tests and procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing, ‎monitoring, treating and preventing disease in assigned laboratory area/section as well as ‎evaluating and reporting patient's results.‎ Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities - Receive and log semen and testicular biopsy samples according to standard procedures. - Perform basic andrology laboratory procedures including semen analysis - Perform sperm preparations for IUI, IVF and ICSI from ejaculated sperm - Perform sperm preparation for ICSI from surgically retrieved sperm. - Perform sperm cryopreservation and thawing. - Ensure that all equipment temperature’s and gases are within the specified ranges and to keep the lab clean and tidy. - Ensures strict adherence to the IVF Lab quality control protocols. - Enter all procedures performed in the laboratory in the respective computer database and file hard copies. - Help in monitoring the necessary stock levels of reagents and materials to ensure proper stock and consumption. - Provide patient and family education as per need. - Participate in person-centered care initiatives undertaken by HMG. - Enrich patient experience with compassion, respect and dignity. - Perform other applicable task and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities. Requirements: Education/ Professional Qualification - Bachelors of Science - Medical Laboratory Science Experience - Two (2) years of experience in General Laboratory or one year in an Andrology Lab. If the minimum qualification doesn’t meet, then that will be covered by four (4) years of experience. Professional Licensing / Certification / Training - Certification: Relevant certifications. - Licensing: Saudi Council for Health Specialties and current registration with the designated authority for the profession from the country of origin .
