About The Role A skilled, confident, and charismatic Mermaid performer responsible for delivering safe, engaging, and memorable guest experiences through underwater mermaid performances, guest interactions, photo opportunities, dry activations, meet-and-greets, themed events, and other assigned Mermaid experiences.As a performer, the Mermaid will embody the character, presentation, and guest-facing standards of the Mermaid program while maintaining strong watermanship, breath-hold ability, show readiness, professionalism, and care for costumes, tails, props, and equipment. This role supports the daily operation of the Mermaid program and contributes to a positive, safe, and high-performing team environment.All duties, assignments, schedules, show participation, dry activities, training blocks, and operational responsibilities are subject to change based on the needs of the business. Key Duties and Responsibilities - Performs as a Mermaid in underwater shows, meet-and-greets, photo opportunities, dry experiences, themed events, private experiences, promotional activities, and special events as assigned. - Delivers safe, engaging, polished, and memorable guest experiences in line with Atlantis standards. - Demonstrates strong Mermaid performance skills, watermanship, breath-hold ability, body control, guest-facing presence, and show awareness. - Swims gracefully in a mermaid tail while executing choreographed routines, approved improvisational movements, trident work, guest interaction, and show-specific movements. - Maintains consistent show readiness, including appearance, makeup, costume, tail, accessories, props, hydration, warm-up, and personal preparation. - Maintains high standards of safety, professionalism, guest interaction, and performance quality. - Supports Mermaid Trainees in their development when assigned, including setting a positive example in guest interaction, show readiness, room standards, and professional conduct. - Contributes positively to team culture, operational success, and daily Mermaid program standards. - Acts as a role model in guest interaction and performance standards. - Participates in rehearsals, choreography practice, show reviews, training sessions, safety drills, costume fittings, and promotional activities as required. - Learns and maintains required Mermaid show choreography, trident handling, Dolphin Meet and Greet script, dry activation standards, and guest interaction expectations. - Participates in required freediving, breath-hold, watermanship, safety, emergency response, and guest service training. - Supports Dolphin Meet and Greet, Shark Lagoon activations, dry photo opportunities, special events, private experiences, and other revenue-generating guest activities as assigned. - Supports daily room standards, assigned operational tasks, daily responsibilities, weekly chores, monthly projects, and close-down duties as part of the Mermaid team rotation. - Assists in the care, cleaning, drying, reporting, and proper storage of Mermaid tails, costumes, accessories, props, and equipment. - Reports damaged, missing, worn, unsafe, or low-stock items to the assigned inventory owner, Senior Mermaid, Head Mermaid, or management. - Reports essential supply usage, low stock, damaged items, missing items, and preferred product needs through the correct channels. - Maintains personal fitness, water confidence, breath-hold ability, and physical readiness to perform assigned duties. - Reports illness, injury, fatigue, equalization concerns, respiratory concerns, discomfort, or any fitness-to-dive concern before in-water activity. - Follows all safety procedures and emergency protocols as instructed by Dive Operations, the Dive Safety Officer, Dive Supervisor, Head Mermaid, Senior Mermaid, or management. - Understands that Mermaid Safety coverage is assigned separately by Dive Operations, but all Mermaids are responsible for reporting safety concerns immediately. - Reports any unsafe condition, unsafe behavior, equipment concern, water quality concern, support concern, or operational concern immediately through the proper channel. - Maintains required logs, records, training documentation, show notes, or assigned operational documentation as required. - Maintains a safe, secure, clean, and healthy

Supports related activations and revenue-generating guest activities. Maintains daily room standards, inventory, and operational tasks. Assists in care and storage of tails, costumes, props, and equipment. Reports damaged or low-stock items. Maintains safety logs and documentation. Maintains personal fitness, water confidence, and readiness to perform. Adheres to safety procedures and emergency protocols as instructed. Reports safety concerns through proper channels. Keeps required logs and show notes as required.
