Operational Risk Associate

Role: Operational Risk Associate Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE This position is open to UAE National fresh graduates. Role purpose: This is a risk management role supporting the implementation of the ORM Framework, with an initial focus on incident management and related activities. The role requires a proactive and confident individual with good analytical skills. The person responsible for this position will be asked to support the execution and implementation of Operational Risk Management Framework throughout ADIB Group. The role holder will be required to have a keen eye for detail and a strong appetite to learn and be tested in different areas. A sound work ethic and desire for self-development are essential for success. Key accountabilities of the role: Providing proactive support to the Operational Risk Management team on all matters. Over time, and with appropriate training, the role holder should assist with: Operational Risk Management Tools: Support the business in managing Operational risk incidents and losses. Support the businesses in and facilitate the identification and assessment of key operational risk exposures within ADIB Group in accordance with ADIB’s Operational Risk Management Framework and related procedural standards. Support the business in the management of Issues and timely implementation of actions. Support the business in the Key risk indicators identification and assessment. Support the business in updating and monitoring Operational risk data using the Group Operational Risk Management platform. Support in the Collation of data for regular reports on operational risk profiles, analysis, and exposures on a regular basis. Program Management: Support implementation and development of ORM program and tools such as Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), Incidents management and Issues & Actions management in ADIB Group. Support the implementation of ORM policies & procedures within ADIB Group Specialist skills / technical knowledge, technical competencies required for this role: Demonstrate ability to collaborate with co-workers and business stakeholders. Excellent English communication skills. Highly self-motivated and ability to learn rapidly. Strong problem solving, analytical (including qualitative analysis), research, quantitative and Computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) Relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Previous experience: No specific work experience requirement, but a degree in Finance, Accounting or Business is required. Assist with managing operational risk incidents and losses; support identification and assessment of key operational risk exposures within ADIB Group; assist in management of issues and timely implementation of actions; support identification and assessment of KRIs; assist updating and monitoring operational risk data using the Group ORM platform; collate data for regular reporting on operational risk profiles, analysis, and exposures. Support implementation and development of ORM program and tools (RCSA, KRIs, incident management, and Issues & Actions management) and the implementation of ORM policies and procedures within ADIB Group.
