JOB PURPOSE: Senior member of well engineering team. Provide technical and operational support for drilling operations from the tendering stage through project commencement, operations and wrap up. Interface between AD IDS rig site execution team, engineering team, customer and product lines to ensure flawless job execution by preparing detailed procedures, capturing and recording NPT, lessons learned and identified risks for optimization of ongoing and future operations. Provide technical advice on adoption of new drilling/well operations technologies and practices to enhance well design and operations in compliance with HSE standards. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Job Specific Accountabilities \uF0B7 Consider well design options based on a review of drilling objectives and recommendations proposed by operations teams. \uF0B7 Monitor operations and provide engineering support to optimize operations efficiency \uF0B7 Provide technical guidance and support in developing a well plan and generating a well design that incorporates the casing, cementing and directional drilling parameters. Solicit and evaluate input from relevant service company providers. \uF0B7 Evaluate the feasibility of and the risks involved in achieving well objectives. \uF0B7 Generate cost estimates for the proposed well design, and develop an equipment list and material requirements. \uF0B7 Review drilling rig and other equipment specifications to ensure adequacy for the proposed well design. \uF0B7 Prepare a drilling program to meet well objectives. \uF0B7 Ensure that all well planning and design activities are conducted using workflows that comply with company well engineering and HSE standards, industry best practices and statutory requirements. \uF0B7 Provide technical input for the preparation and evaluation of tenders. \uF0B7 Engagement with product lines to optimize programs \uF0B7 Implement and track the company\u2019s AFE review process for the well plan and well design. \uF0B7 Review existing and new technologies for incorporation into the well design. \uF0B7 Liaise with drilling operations team to identify requirements for equipment, materials and services, and to coordinate scheduling of well operations. \uF0B7 Maintain effective and proper working relationships with contractors and service companies to ensure that company requirements are understood and met in terms of expected standards of quality and performance. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Minimum Qualification \uF0B7 BSc in an engineering discipline, or equivalent. Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills \uF0B7 Ten (10) or more years\u2019 experience within drilling operations and well engineering. \uF0B7 Experience from both offshore and onshore operations \uF0B7 Fluency in spoken and written English. \uF0B7 Good computer knowledge. BSc in an engineering discipline, or equivalent. Ten (10) or more years of experience within drilling operations and well engineering. Experience from both offshore and onshore operations. Fluency in spoken and written English. Good computer knowledge.
