MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE To manage the planning and optimization of flydubai’s freighter operations by developing and maintaining network schedules, capacity plans, and utilization strategies that support the airline’s cargo growth and operational efficiency, ensuring freighter aircraft are deployed effectively across the network in alignment with commercial demand, operational capability, and long-term strategic objectives. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Develops and maintains the short, medium, and long-term freighter network plans to optimize aircraft deployment, rotations, and block-hour utilization in line with business objectives. Coordinates with Flight Operations, Engineering, and Ground Handling to ensure all planned rotations and schedules are operationally viable and compliant with regulatory and technical requirements. Conducts capacity and yield analyses, monitoring aircraft performance and utilization to ensure alignment with cost efficiency, profitability and load factor targets. Leads freighter entry-into-service (EIS) planning, including route proving, crew familiarization, and post-launch operational review to ensure readiness and performance consistency. Evaluates and approves ad-hoc and charter opportunities, assessing operational feasibility and financial impact in coordination with Commercial and Operations teams. Collaborates with Cargo Pricing and Revenue Optimization to ensure capacity planning decisions support yield targets, load factor improvements, and market requirements. Leads, mentors and develops the Freighter Planning team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Prepares detailed management reports covering freighter performance, cost analysis, route profitability, and operational efficiency metrics. Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal standards related to freighter scheduling and cargo capacity planning. Drives continuous improvement initiatives in freighter planning processes, focusing on efficiency, reliability, and resource optimization.
