Conducts technical studies and analyses to assess climate change impacts and risks, identifies exposure and vulnerability, and proposes appropriate measures and solutions to enhance adaptive capacity and climate resilience. Additionally, contributes to the preparation and development of relevant policies, strategies, plans, and regulatory frameworks related to climate change mitigation and adaptation, in alignment with institutional directives. Prepare and develop climate plans and programs related to emission reduction and adaptation to climate change impacts, in alignment with the national and local strategies, policies, and objectives of the organization.Evaluate and analyze climate change risks and impacts on relevant sectors and systems, including identifying sources of risk, vulnerabilities, and exposure levels, and proposing adaptation and risk reduction measures.Analyze emission data and climate and environmental indicators and prepare technical studies and reports that support decision-making and the development of climate policies and initiatives.Develop and review climate initiatives and projects focused on emission reduction, enhancing adaptive capacity and climate resilience, and ensuring their compliance with approved targets and indicators.Prepare technical manuals, methodologies, and standards related to climate change mitigation and adaptation, and provide necessary proposals to improve related frameworks, procedures, and operations.Monitor the implementation of climate projects and initiatives, measure progress, results, and impacts, prepare periodic reports, identify challenges and gaps, and propose appropriate corrective actions.Provide technical support regarding climate change risks, adaptation options, emission reduction opportunities, and requirements for enhancing climate resilience.Coordinate effectively and participate in task forces and technical committees with government entities, research institutions, the private sector, and stakeholders, and exchange knowledge and expertise in the fields of climate mitigation and adaptation.Monitor international and local scientific developments and trends in the field of climate change, analyze their implications for the organization's operations, and propose initiatives or measures necessary to keep pace with them.Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
