The role provides expert oversight of counter‑UAS technologies, supports enforcement actions against unauthorized UAS activity, and strengthens Dubai’s airspace‑security posture through rigorous compliance auditing, system evaluation, and inter‑agency coordination.This position plays a critical role in safeguarding sensitive airspace, supporting national aviation‑security frameworks, and enabling the safe integration of unmanned aircraft operations.Key Responsibilities/Duties:1. Ensure UAS monitoring and countermeasure systems comply with all applicable legal, technical, and safety requirements.2. Conduct scheduled and ad‑hoc compliance audits of detection platforms, counter‑UAS technologies, and integrated monitoring systems.3. Verify that system configurations, operational procedures, and deployment protocols meet DCAA and national aviation‑security standards.4. Evaluate new counter‑UAS technologies, including RF‑jamming, GNSS‑interference detection, radar‑based tracking, and optical countermeasure systems.5. Support testing, certification, and acceptance of new detection and countermeasure solutions.6. Maintain a structured database of UAS violations, categorized by type (technical, legal, environmental, security).7. Coordinate with Dubai Police and other enforcement agencies on countermeasure deployment and incident‑response activities.8. Provide technical support during investigations of unauthorized UAS flights, airspace intrusions, and system‑triggered alerts.9. Assist in developing operational protocols for counter‑UAS response and escalation.10. Develop compliance checklists, technical guidelines, and audit procedures for detection and countermeasure systems.11. Prepare compliance reports, system‑performance assessments, and enforcement‑support documentation.12. Provide analytical insights to support strategic decision‑making and regulatory updates.13. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Section.14. Performs other job-related duties as assigned, consistent with the operational and regulatory responsibilities of the Unmanned Aircraft Monitoring Section. Qualifications Academic Qualifications:§ Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Security, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.§ Master’s degree is an advantage.
