Prepare, handle and mix all dental restorative and impression materials. Prepare dental operatory of different specialties with all the necessary supplies and equipments. Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health. Applies behavior management for pediatric patients. Arranges appointments, receive and dismiss patients, keep and maintain patient's records and files and do other office management tasks. 6. Maintain professional conduct. 7. Ensure availability of all consumable materials in the clinic at all times and manages the adequate utilization and consumption of the materials and assure the disposition of all expired materials in the clinic on time. 8. Ensure proper disposal of different waste items, chemical and hazardous materials. Ensure safe working environment at all times by effective work practice in compliance with the Dubai Health Authority safety requirements and protocol. Practice accepted infection control and patient safety procedures according to the Department and International standards. Conduct initial assessment for patients prior to dental treatment. (This includes medical history, vital signs and random blood sugar). Undertake any other duties assigned. Maintain clinical inventory and instrument hand - over check as departmental procedure and reporting immediately any clinical discrepancies. Provide guidance and supervision to other dental assistants as appropriate. Maintain and demonstrates clinical competence in all aspect of patient care including those with complex needs.
