This role will support leaders on two teams at the center of OpenAI’s work with governments worldwide: OpenAI for Government and Global Affairs. As part of the OpenAI for Government team you will work across federal, state, and local governments, helping to accelerate adoption through hands-on support, tailored training, and early insights—so civil servants can spend less time on red tape and more on meaningful work. As part of the Global Affairs National Security team, you will help shape OpenAI’s engagement with senior national security leaders and policymakers around the world, navigating one of the most consequential and fast-moving policy landscapes of our time. About the Role The Executive Business Partner will be a proactive and adaptable partner to executives, managing complex scheduling, coordinating projects, and optimizing workflows. This role requires independence, task-level ownership, and a deep understanding of OpenAI’s mission to foster AGI that benefits humanity. The ideal candidate can handle structured tasks with minimal oversight, while actively learning and applying best practices to support evolving business needs. This role is based in Washington, DC and requires in-person attendance at our DC office, The Workshop, at least four days per week. We offer relocation assistance for new employees. In this role, you will: - Build strong connections within Global Affairs and OpenAI for Government, and forge connective tissue between the two teams to help them operate together more seamlessly. This includes an understanding of team dynamics, priorities, and stakeholders, facilitating seamless coordination on high-stakes projects. - Expertly manage the calendars, scheduling, and logistics of leaders in both organizations across classified and unclassified engagements—including interagency meetings, secure briefings, site visits, and high-priority external meetings—while anticipating needs, adapting quickly to shifting priorities, and ensuring leaders are well-prepared and operating efficiently. - Excel in sharing information clearly and efficiently, adapting communication styles for different audiences, from Cabinet-level officials to agency staff, adapting tone and style to maintain professionalism and advance OpenAI’s mission. - Operate with discretion and independence, proactively optimizing processes and flagging risks, while ensuring sensitive information is handled securely and in compliance with government protocols. - Serve as an execution lead for major OpenAI for Government and Global Affairs events, government workshops, sponsorships, training, and customer meetings, Work seamlessly with key stakeholders in OpenAI’s Washington, DC office to ensure a high quality experience for strategi
