Supervisor - Lifting

Job Title: Lifting Supervisor Location: Sohar, Oman Reports To: Lifting Engineer Key Responsibilities: - Supervise and coordinate all lifting activities on site. - Ensure lifting plans and risk assessments are in place and followed. - Inspect lifting equipment and ensure it is certified and in good working condition. - Verify that crane operators, riggers, and signalmen are competent and certified. - Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings related to lifting operations. - Monitor weather and site conditions to determine safe lifting windows. - Liaise with site management, HSE, and subcontractors to plan and execute lifts safely. - Maintain records of lifting operations, incidents, and equipment inspections. Qualifications & Experience: - Diploma in Mechanical - Minimum 5 years of experience in lifting operations in construction, oil & gas, or heavy industry. - Familiarity with cranes, rigging gear, and lifting accessories. Qualifications: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME) Experience: 5-15 years
